Natural curly Thick Indian hair?
Hi!
I have dark thick wavy Indian hair (east indian). I stopped using shampoo. Just started washing my hair with Conditioner only. (its called a CO wash). you use tons of conditioner, scrub it into your scalp, let it sit, and rinse really really well. you want to use conditioners that are runny like VO5, white rain, sauve, etc, cheap stuff! don't use anything with silicones, they hide damage and make hair worst. I just used a apple cider vinegar rinse and it worked great! I did the CO wash, rinsed with water for a long time, then did a final ACV rinse (you can use white vinegar too) just make sure u dilute it. i.e. 1 capful in one cup of water. once ur hair dries, the smell will go away! promise! after washing, i put pure aloe vera gel (i have the cvs brand, its cheaper than fruit of the earth) in my hair and scrunch. i have great waves and it makes my hair shiny. there is an adjusment period for the CO washing (a few weeks) but hang in there, its totally worth it! my hair is super soft and shiny. i barely have frizz like i used to. there are tons of websites on this too, thats where i got my info from. HTH!
