Partly bleached scene hair?

So. I've decided I'm going to dye my hair black and bleach small areas of it. (I have a bunch of layers, like a scene haircut)

My first question is if hairstylists will do this for you, or if people normally bleach small sections by themselves. Next I'm trying to decide if I should bleach underneath the very top layers in the back, kinda like this...

Or just get a few sections on the side or in the front and bleach those like random thick highlights.
